ETRAC vs Fisher F-75

I own an Etrac and have been using it for a couple of years. Last year, I was hearing a lot of stories about how good the F75 was. To satisfy my curiosity, I rented an F75 from a local metal detector dealer and used it for a couple of days metal detecting in our local parks. After using the F75 for a couple of days, I decided that the Etrac was the better detector.

The F75 wasn't as stable as the Etrac and the F75 was a lot more susceptible to electrical interference.

The Etrac ID'd targets better than the F75. I dug a lot of old rusty bottle caps when I used the F75. On the F75, rusty bottle caps came in sounding and looking like quarters. I have never had this problem with the Etrac. If the Etrac says it's a quarter. It's a quarter. And, I haven't dug any rusty bottle caps with the Etrac.

The F75 weighs less and is a lot easier to swing than an Etrac. But doesn't feel as sturdy as an Etrac. I think an Etrac would take a lot more punishment.

Depth wise, I didn't notice any difference between the two.
