Easy fix for any coil flopping especially the Nox!

Everyone knows how flimsy the ears are on the equinox coils are well I tried this and it works perfectly!
Get a milk carton plastic one cut a good sized piece out on a flat surface of the jug you can use anything a soda bottle to.
Once you cut a piece out use a quarter to trace out two circular washers then melt a hole in the middle approximately 1/4 inch remove the coil and place the washers between the shaft and coil ears.
You will notice right away you don’t have to tighten up the nuts that hold the coil to the shaft at all it keeps it perfectly stiff enough so you never have to tighten the bolt up and snap off ears ..
And it keeps the shaft from wearing the coil
ears…
Here’s a picture with them installed and the bolt never has to be overnighted!
I have the bolt completely loose in the photo and it’s just snug enough works great!

Used it today for a 2 hour water hunt untouched river spot! All along the banks two mercury dimes barber quarter silver Washington two v nickels a Buffalo!

What a cheap and easy fix !!!! Too bad Minelab was so cheap with the thin, skimpy ears. Just like the whole package, no water-proof headphones, flimsy rods, no battery charger, no manual.
Minelab's build quality has always been a bit off.
