Thanks Yeti. You should have seen him the other day. He eyballed a squirrell about 75 yards away for nearly 15 minutes. I finally cut him loose for a quick romp and he made a beeline for the tree and nearly nabbed him.

Just kidding of course and super nice find...Always said it something sounds different or just a gut feeling dig...We have a couple of old drive ins but lots of wire left in ground from the speakers cause one fits..Might point out anything larger than a coin can easily cover a lot more ground and fool the best..thinking its junk..

Wow wish I'd find one of those.That just shows you that every now and then you have to dig.You never know whats there.Once I got a can reading and dug it only to find a 1900 silver half.What a surprise.Sometimes you half to go with you gut feeling.

WOW nice find.I have a local closed drive in I search which has given up silver. I found a part of a gold chain bracelet but nothing like what you found. I can only imagine the feeling.

I'd say you not only beat, you busted the odds on that one! An old drive in that closed in '59 sounds like it would be pretty fun. Pull tabs didn't come out until '62 - have you found many nickels there???

I haven't even started paying attention to the lower conductors yet D.F....I'm having too much fun with the high hits. I think this will be a good site for me to better familiarize myself with some low hits though. At this point in my detecting life...I'd be the first to say "I suck at the low hits"
