Thanks Doug. I can't get much closer than I already did...but I can clean her up a little.DoughBoyDoug said:Nice find. A stunning piece of silver. I would love to see it cleaned and in a closeup if you can.
Thanks bro. No marks whatsoever...anywhere. I'm 110% sure its sterling silver though because I acid tested itErik in NJ said:Super nice find! Any engraving or maker's mark? Would luv to see a close-up of that cleaned up!

Come my way as soon as you can and we'll hit the carnival spot one more time. I got 2 mercury dimes from there last week.

Thanks Heavy D. He was hoping you would bring another bag next timedeeponedge said:That is a nice find bud and it was a lot of fun. I'm glad you didn't mention me since I didnt find nothing.
How is Herk's belly after pillaging 3 of my doughnuts.
Thanks friend. I was thinking the same thing....wondering about the circumstances of the lost bracelet. I bet it happened a little like you said.NebTrac said:I'll bet that sucker came flying off just before the "slap" on the face of some cheeky (no pun intended) guy!!!
Great story and great find Bryce!

Thanks Yeti. You should have seen him the other day. He eyballed a squirrell about 75 yards away for nearly 15 minutes. I finally cut him loose for a quick romp and he made a beeline for the tree and nearly nabbed him.niterider_58 said:Nice looking bracelet Bryce, Hercules looks good in it that old ham
Thanks Ed. He loves to pose for pics. Seriously...I've never seen anything like it. He just gets this funny look on his face...and poses.edjcox said:Now did he take to liking the bracelet and what did you give him to smile in the second shot...
Great find.....
Thanks Bell. "Beercan" signals...now that's funny...and probably true.Bell said:Way to go Bryce. Yet another example of why you have to dig those deep can signals. You never know whats down there. That is exactly how a cache should sound as well. I hear you folks up north calling them pop can signals, but Im pretty sure down here in Texas they are always beer can signals.
Thanks buddy. I was thinking maybe some girl popped some guy in the jib...being it was at a drive in.utahshovelhead said:Nice find Bryce. Loosing something that big would take some serreous rough housing or winter play. Finding it 50 years later would be even more fun. The pics are cool and the bracelot even cooler.
be good in the tye dye.

Yeah I thought Herky needed a little myself. Give that Drive in a whirl.Ray-Mo. said:Bout time you got Hercules some bling lol I have an old drive in that closed up here in the 70s and may have to give the gravel a shot.Been thinking about it for years and your post may just get me in gear
Thanks Bruce.drkp88 said:UNBELIEVABLE !!! The harder you work - the LUCKIER you get !!

Thanks Dan. Actually Herky does help me dig sometimes. I think I might start taking a few more chances on some digs. I'm sure I'll end up with a little more junk in my pouch...but oh well. Here's to that 57 chevy.Dan-Pa. said:Just kidding of course and super nice find...Always said it something sounds different or just a gut feeling dig...We have a couple of old drive ins but lots of wire left in ground from the speakers cause one fits..Might point out anything larger than a coin can easily cover a lot more ground and fool the best..thinking its junk..
Still looking for that 57 chevy
Thanks. Believe it or not...that IS Herky's happy look.TokenDigger said:That's a really nice bracelet but Hercules doesn't look too happy wearing it. This gives hope to those of us digging those deep pop can targets. HH
Very true Dave. Thanks for responding.Dave400 said:Wow wish I'd find one of those. That just shows you that every now and then you have to dig.You never know whats there.Once I got a can reading and dug it only to find a 1900 silver half. What a surprise.Sometimes you half to go with you gut feeling.
Thanks Steve. I was happy I didn't mangle it up during the dig.Steve \"Stonewall Brigade\" Va said:WOW nice find.I have a local closed drive in I search which has given up silver. I found a part of a gold chain bracelet but nothing like what you found. I can only imagine the feeling.
Thanks Dan. I am definitely a happy camper.captn_se said:Wow, Bryce!! That is a really cool looking (and old) Sterling bracelet!!
I'd be real happy about that find!!
Thanks for sharing, my friend!

Thanks Bro.Elton said:Wow that is a nice find...
I haven't even started paying attention to the lower conductors yet D.F....I'm having too much fun with the high hits. I think this will be a good site for me to better familiarize myself with some low hits though. At this point in my detecting life...I'd be the first to say "I suck at the low hits"DirtFlipper said:Ah, if only they were that many! Here's to the 1% of those so called "soda can" hits that AREN'T just soda cans when you uncover 'em
I'd say you not only beat, you busted the odds on that one! An old drive in that closed in '59 sounds like it would be pretty fun. Pull tabs didn't come out until '62 - have you found many nickels there???
Thanks Neal. I wiull probably give a few more a shot.NealNoIN said:WTG Bryce! Now go dig 100 more pop cans!
stubbs1 said:Nice bracelet Bryce Good job!
Thanks Mark...and Herky says thanks too.Markdb61 said:That's some serious treasure with some wonderful pictures. Your buddy looks good wearing it
This gives me some hope on those blasting signals. Thanks for the good post.
Thanks bro. Herky does look like a king doesn't he?Dave-IL said:Way to go buddy. That is a nice one. Might I add Hercules looks dapper as well?
