Dug a 01-44

That thing is huge. The Ike looks bigger to me then other dollar coins. Is it me or are they bigger?

Still pretty rare to unearth a clad dollar as well. Ironically I dug a Morgan on a Thursday and on Saturday my wife and I had traveled 200+ miles East and I dug a clad dollar. She didn't think I deserved it, but I did!!

Troy,

You Dug A Morgan..Where Is The Picture and Post?

WOW Congrats

And Congrats To All Of Us That Have Dug A Dollar Coin:clapping:

Hello All, this is my first time posting for more than a year now but I thought I chime in.Here is one I dug earlier this year. They are nice to find but I'm still looking for my first silver big buck. As for the ID, I really can't be conclusive because with my machine I run max sensitivity along with my iron rejection pattern I made up. With my Etrac in our soil, running automatic is useless.

I want to add a story about the Clad Dollar and my Etrac.

I belong to a MD Club and we have an activity that five Ike Dollars get buried in Five local Parks.
At each MD meeting a clue is given and members go out looking for the Coins, when found it is presented
at the next meeting and swapped for a Silver Dollar.

When I got my ET there was/is a learning curve and the Programs I used at that time had the standard Line in the Upper Right Corner.

We went out looking for the Ike Dollar and went over an area we figured was the Spot and could not find it but did find a Merc.
After we left another member came and found the Ike Dollar in the location we had detected, the line had not allowed us to detect the Ike Dollar.

Something similar happened at a Nickel Hunt at an event we attended.

The answer for us was to wave the coin we were seeking under the coil Before we searched for it and if not detected we would then change our Program.

Hope This Story Helps
