DST help.

Could someone please post directions again on how to turn DST on/off, and also identify which setting (9.0 or 9.1) is DST on and off.

Thanks in advance;

Greg

With the detector off, push and hold the menu button, push the toggle switch forward hold then turn the detector on. 9.1 is off. On the unit I have which is the Anniversary model, there is a bit of difference in EMI betwen 9.0 and 9.1. However it is so slight I normally run with DST off and change freq when necessary. Most of the time the default freq of F1 works great.

I had a weird experience in Virginia a couple of weeks ago, on a several thousand acre tract of land south of Richmond. There were no power lines or high tension lines in the vicinity, and the entire area was a mixture of wooded and pasture, with no houses in the immediate area, no electric fences, etc..

I ran my machine most of day 1 with sensitivity set on 98, Boost Process, Frequency (default) and (I guess) DST on, and my machine ran so quiet that I had to check it several times to make sure it was actually running.

Day 2, most of the day was the same, but that afternoon all of a sudden it was like a wall of EMI came through and hit my machine. I tried lowering sensitivity, frequency changes, coil changes, etc., but nothing worked. I was hunting with a group of people; two others who also had F-75s, but were hunting different sections of the woods, experienced the same thing, at the same time.

It almost made me wonder if it had something to do with solar activity, or satellites.

Anyway, many thanks for the information, and good luck.
