Does Tesoro have something up their sleeve?

Came across an e-bay item that made mention of some real heavy hitters going to BAT for Tesoro.
Don't know how true it is but if that's the case maybe in the next year we will hear something new
in the works from them. How great would that be! The names mentioned were some Truly great
detectorists in their day and would have ideas how to raise the flagship of Tesoro again but only
time will tell. As for now I keep my Eldo. Micro max and my Silver Sabre Micro max as they
just work for me when tot lotting...

Only thing I have read thru the face book grape vine (so you know it must be true) LOL is I heard there was an offer from a big name detector company thats wants to buy out Tesoro and allow them to still keep the tesoro name but basically own the company kinda deal. I hope they do somthing soon because it would sure be nice to have a dual frequency water proof tesoro.

I would only caution about a post like this because...........

Good detectorists does not mean Good Engineering. Yes maybe some ideas given.. But it would take some serious Engineering, and much time to create a new concept.

I have no idea who Designs, or their abilities that work for Tesoro. I wish them the greatest of luck. And truly hope they can have an awesome detector in the field fairly quickly.

I would hope that Tesoro will soon release some info about where their going in the detecting world. I will take my wish a step further. I wish a detecting magazine would go to Tesoro and do a interview and get some facts published of their intentions.
Tesoro has been, and I assume still is a force in the detecting industry. That said some confirmation about upcoming detectors would be a nice touch on Tesoro's part.

As stated above I wish the best for Tesoro:thumbup: I started the hobby with a Tesoro in 87 and still swing a Tesoro product today cause they hunt the trashy areas I search well:detecting:

My worst nightmare would be if garrett bought tesoro.(bell tone) As far as tesoro having a decent machine , there machines far surpass my detecting needs. But if they wanted to revive the golden umax ......sweet

And the Queen of England spends her free time detecting with some pub nuts hoping to find a hoard......................on land see has given herself permission to hunt.

Actually............
Tesoro and Matseemoto a Chinese company are negotiating on the purchase. Knobs and switches are going to be replaced with keypads and a menu screen but will not have an target ID screen
to keep it in an analog fashion. This eliminates all the wiring inside current machines. Otherwise the models will be in a thinner, sleeker profile umax box. Cortes and Deleon will retain the target ID screen, only change will be
larger screen with larger numbers and lettering. And the new series of machines are going to be badged " Fire Dragon" series.

Your going to be in for a big surprise........................

Are you kidding, Sven?

I cannota say any more...................................save your money, July is a good time to buy.

Why would a high tech japanese company be looking at getting into bed with a low tech detecting setup, does not seem to fit,its not as if Tesoro have alot of premium patents that folks would be after, prehaps they want to make retro looking machines so then Tesoro would be a perfect fit

Yes there is a new unit on the way ....scheduled for a Spring 2020 release date. There will be a contest to choose a name for the machine in October for this year.

Um, have you used an AT Pro? Pro mode is the opposite of bell tone, tons of audio feedback. I don't know if it is comparable to a Tesoro though as I have never used one.

Yes I have used a at pro and a few other garrets. Loved by many just not me. I think for many way too much audio feedback confusing

I hope it looks like an old original Nintendo!!

But seriously, strange that the Japs are interested. But I don't know of any Japanese metal detectors, so maybe they are hoping to start a trend? Who knows...

If it aint knobs and switches, it aint a Tesoro. I guess the Japs will prove my point
