Dissappointing morning but an AWESOME afternoon!

after a great deal of thought steve, the only word that i can come up with is INCREDIBLE!!! wow, you've done so well there, got a lot of nice relics, pre - war to boot. man... the stuff of dreams. it's just incredible. keep on gettin' it and posting it up! thanks, and hh, louis

You got a 100% ID on the candlestick holder. Thanks for giving an identification picture, it really puts it all in perspective. What's really amazing is the transferring of these items can be found all across the U.S during that time period as far away as California! This is all interesting to me, thanks Dave!

Look forward to seeing and talking with you at the Convention here in a few weeks. Take care my friend! :)

Thanks for the kind words Louis. This has always remained a wonderful hobby for me over the years. Culmenating a vast collection is but a very small part that I enjoy. What I realish are the adventures I go on, the people I meet and the digging of old artifacts is truely something I will never forget. Thanks again buddy! :)

The tongue portion appears to be made of heavy stamped brass, so that would be for a sash buckle. Many were produced from thin sheet brass. Typical use would have been with an Officers dress uniform and worn over the sash. Buckle was attached to a light weight cloth belt. Nice!

great afternoon bud:thumbup:
