great story as always lord marcovan. i really enjoy your stories and in the back of my mind every time i log on i wonder if one more of your wonderful epics are on! i've noticed, as i'm sure many others have, that you've been absent from here quite some time. i was getting ready to pm you! really! you might have been a little disapointed by a lack of finds, but that's sometimes how the hobby goes. it's all good, though; tommorow's a new day. thanks, and hh,

I did let too long a time elapse between outings. I don't get out like I used to- back in my heyday in the mid-1990s, I went out 4-5 times a week instead of 12-15 times a year. Not surprisingly, my finds were better and more numerous then. But back then I didn't have a camera or the Internet, so those stories went largely untold!
I'll try to get out at least twice a month. When I was younger, a bit more physically fit, and single, it was easier to do. Now I'm fat and married and a father again, and work a full time job plus a part-time stint as a coin dealer, so my diggin' time is seriously shortened. But I suspect I'll be a digger as long as I am physically able to do it! It's nice to have had my absence noted.
