When I find something good my heart may skip a beat, but I'm sure not going to act like a darn fool and let everyone in the neighborhood know I just made a major find. I don't like to have an audience following me around, especially the property owner -- they have this tendency to want what you just dug up.

I couldn't get into the weird lingo either. I've never heard anyone refer to a Colonial as a Cologne (sorry didn't want to spell it "colon" LOL). Maybe a good show for beginners or the curious; not much for the seasoned MDer.

Does anyone know what type of detectors they were using? Definitely wasn't an E-Trac.

These guys are out of Montana. They have their own website Anacondatreasure.com I think. They sell videos. The show just featured two of them. They are a bunch of guys that are crazy about metal detecting and are all good friends. They look like they have a really good time together in their videos. I don't see this a a good tv show though. I have been to their website several times. They find some amazing stuff.

These guys are the worst example we can have for representing the art of metal detecting.
No I do not jump out of trees when I have a good find
They make no attempt to explain how metal detecting works or proper techniques for digging and keeping the site clean
They seem more to be promoting this as a get rich scheme
Yes I am always thrilled when I have a special find but the thrill is in the discovery not the cash
Clad gets spent but everything else I save.

I hope this show is short lived as it does not do the metal detecting community any favors

personally,i wouldn't care about the "entertainment" antics,after all
ya gotta entertain people or the show won't go!..it's the sloppy digging!
this is the deal breaker! ya must dig responsibly,or it's lights out for the hobby!

I just watched this episode where they attack Tombstone with a backhoe. I'm glad a lot of people stood up and told them to take their cameras elsewhere.

Its just another stupid reality show that is for the feebleminded dreamers who will never leave mommies basement. First and last time I will watch this, I am just starting my new hobby, I don't even want to be connected with these guys.

There are two shows currently being aired, Diggers and American Diggers
Diggers is two guys with detectors ATPros making fools of themselves whenever they find a dime
American Diggers is the show where they used the backhoe in Tombstone

Neither show sheds a positive light on metal detecting and I hope both are taken off the air

its the world we live in people want drama so they can forget about their own lives so if this does it for them then what can we do?

maybe they will add detecting to the extreme games

maybe if we put it in to perspective its not so bad ?

maybe we will get detecting groupies
