Did the low/high discrimination depth test,

It is so sad that you can't always say what you feel. I too have been kicked off a few forums for my ideas. I was never nasty just told the truth about how I felt.

Sorry there are some people that run forums like a bad business. I love to read and learn about the T2 and I know as the weather gets better more info will surface and maybe by then a new small coil for the T2 will come out. And maybe we will see what the new fisher 75 will do when it comes out?

I would love to see a new version of the T2 but made more for coin hunting. I know a lot of you love the T2 for coins but turf hunting and the T2 don't excite me! I love the T2 for relic hunting.

I have a few detectors that I use for turf hunting and they work better for me then the T2. But with that said maybe a small coil will change that?

So I am looking forward to see what fisher is going to do. Maybe with some of the T2 owners being concerned that the F75 is going to be a t2 with a few add ons, Fisher changed it more for coin hunting but with the speed of the T2 in iron. That would be cool and make me buy a F75!

Others can perform similar test or using a wide range of disc settings and different tone modes.

Thanks again, Paul

Hi Paul,

When using the T2 as a coin detector, what setup do you use for discrimination? When I first started using my T2 for coins I would set the disc to 80 and tones to 3b. I have since changed with the disc between 50-80 and tones set to 2+. Unlike the soil in California
I am able to run the Sensitivity at a much higher level. At times, my T2 can be maximized out with out any loss of stability.

When you use you X-70 what discrimination patterns and tones do you use for the different types of hunting that you have tried? Also what is the range of the visual ID with respect to a certain coins? I have found that with the T2 my ID's on coins have a very narrow range and are highly repeatable. If I read a 53, you can just about bet the farm that it is a nickel.

You have been a great help in answering my questions, and I want to thank you for your expertise. The X-70 may be to close in performance to the T2 for me to consider purchasing one at this time, but I'm still researching.

I really like the T2 design with the pinpointing and ground balance trigger. I guess I'm just spoiled. I realize the T2 is not for everyone, but every time I start considering another detector the T2 is the standard. Where is the F75?

Thanks again, Bill
