Its definitely the MultiFrequency and faster processor that helps discriminate what in the ground that is the selling point of the D2. Waterproof is the extra bonus. Lets not forget that next year there will be a smaller coil option offered as well.Besides being waterproof an MF, What is the advantage of the D2 vs D1?
There are certain detecting conditions where I don't think there is a serious advantage to having a D2 over a D1. But if you ever plan to work highly mineralized soil or saltwater beaches, then the D2 is your choice.Besides being waterproof an MF, What is the advantage of the D2 vs D1?
i agree with you on the DEUS 2 100 %As a long time and proficient user of the D1, I will say that the fast multi frequency platform of the D2 offers several advantages. You can find lots of info on the technical differences between the two platforms, so I won't go into that. I will say that the D2 brought my old worn out sites back to life. These sites have no easy targets left, but the D2's unmasking abilities made them worth hunting again.
U yung kid yet!!!!!well I don't hunt salt water or gold prospecting. parks, sports fields, curb strips, sometimes house places. I now use an orx. thought I would get a deus 1 module that would work on my rod an H.F. coil. cant afford the deus 2. so that's the way ill go, if I can find just the D1 module for sale. ill be 80 in april. so I guess its time to slow down. before I have no say in the matter. H.H.
I have no experience with the Orx, but from what I've read, it seems like it is a Deus-1 without extra bells and whistles. Unless you are looking for the extra customizability, you probably won't notice any significant advantages to the upgrade.well I don't hunt salt water or gold prospecting. parks, sports fields, curb strips, sometimes house places.
