Deus 2 - Vdi scale

Flintstone was commenting about digging foil and pull tabs which are the bane of those looking for gold jewelry. Since foil and pull tabs are always found in parks, sports fields, schools, and beaches, etc. It's not hard to extrapolate that he wants to dig jewelry without digging pull tabs and that's not going to happen.
I agree with you; I've also found large gold above 80. My mistake was to use "gold ring" instead of the more accurate term "gold jewelry". However, the comment still stands, if he wants to find gold rings (jewelry), which generally falls between 40-80 on the Deus-2 (my experience), he will have to dig pull tabs which generally fall between 60-80 on the Deus 2 or foil/foil wads/can slaw (anywhere between 20 and 80 on the Deus-2).
I know people find gold jewelry and down into the 20's, but I don't go there because the trash ratio to gold rises exponentially in the places I hunt.
Oh I know I just added that and like we all know if you want to find gold you have to dig a lot you can’t cherry pick I agree I’m with you on digging in the 20’s too much crap!

This is one of the reasons I like the duel ferrous/conductive numbers of my etrac. With tones it gives a lot of info instantaneously. To the point I can tell with a lot of certainty if a target is a .22 shell, shotgun head stamp, copper rivet from horse harness, Indian vs wheat penny, etc. I have often thought a duel conductive number could be beneficial if another parameter could be implemented like resistivity. Or something else?

I would just like to tell a Crushed Screw Cap (83) from a Zinc (83-84).

Good morning, I am attaching an email sent to Xp, and I would like to know your opinion, and if you agree, to make the same request, I think it is coherent for everyone,
sorry for my language but I use a translator.

Good morning, some time ago I made a small comment on this subject and now after much discussion with colleagues here in Spain and especially with colleagues from the USA, we would like to transmit to you and if it is technically possible the formula to be able to expand the Vdi scale in its high zone of good conductors, since many of us come from white's (very expanded) and the Deus ll scale, makes little difference between pulll-tab, buttons and coins, even less than Deus l which could leave the frequency without normalizing at 18.
That is why we strongly ask you that in future updates it is possible to standardize as an option, the VDI to the frequency of 4, we would be happily grateful, since together with the impressive wealth of sounds of this equipment, it would make it simply "perfect".

Thank you very much for your attention and I wish you a happy day.
Hi, Here are my 2 cents on VDI#s—TID#s. Those #s are based on the type of metals, a combination of the metals, the size of the target, depth of the target, a combination of different targets in trashy areas, similar #s on different targets, the mineralization of the soil, etc……..You will never be 100% accurate on VDI#s that a detector puts out, just too many variables that you have to consider. I think your over thinking the the VDI#s which will never be 100% accurate on any detector you use.
Just my opinion!——You have to dig the trash to get the good stuff…..🙂
