Deus 2 or manticore?

Hello all, I live in central Ohio mainly hunt parks and schools. I’m currently running a E trac and I’m looking to upgrade to some newer technology. I’m leaning towards the deus 2. from the videos and the posts I’ve read the Deus seems to be a little better in the iron.but I don’t know if that’s true after the Manticores most recent update. I just wanted some opinions of people that are using these machines. In and around iron
Thank you
Manticore all the way. I owned a D2 for about 6 months and at first thought it was pretty good. Things got worse when i updated it , it started to be a lover of iron bits , deep iron, loss of depth as i proved on some depth tests. The factory set programs are not good. I got sick and tired of all the charging of coil , headphones , remote control , I seemed to be forever charging everything up all the time. Its portability is superb , folds down really
small into the small Xp back pack. Lets talk performance , using factory set programs you will be walking over coins and other nice things never knowing they were even there. You MUST have a test area to test the detector with planted coins and rings etc
to figure out how to get max performance other wise trust me , your walking over a lot of coinage. Not the best unmasker in the world as is claimed , lots of hype as usual and the testers on you tube are proving nothing
about it's claimed "super unmasking capability".

Everybody has a opinion I bought the manticore in march and the deus 2 I sold the manticore and kept the deus 2 did not see a difference in one to the other . But the deus wipe the crap out of the manticore in weight and the ws6 was half the price of the manticore . I have also used minelabs for the last 20 years so I am not bias to either just my opinion . sube

I think that having to keep charging everything up every day especially the coil was main reason i got rid of D2. Had coil fail twice because of low battery when on site. Could do with more battery capacity in the coil IMHO.
I needed a six inch coil too which is not available for D2. Remote kept falling of the stem too , annoying!. Still D2 gets a 8 out of 10 , Manticore Gets 9.5 out of ten , love the manticore audio more than i love that blonde
bird who used to sing in abba.

My only beef with the deus 2 is the cams I have blood blisters to prove it finger and thumb took me three times to keep my fingers and thumbs away from them :cautious: . Let my friend handle it and (Told him keep your digits away ) one minute later he had the deus blood blister on his finger  anyone else experience this or am I the only slow learner here .:rage: sube

It's taken me at least 6 months to really get the feel for the Manticore, I've pulled out 10 whetties, and several silver dimes from a very trashy well hunted old building site in the past couple of weeks, setting the tones to your ear and the center line is the key.

This guy is a very clever guy , he is one of the few testers on youtube who truly knows what he is talking about. I am one of his subscribers.
yep me to he agrees with me about the EMI and D2 because of it being all wireless it is likely more likely to be affected by it.

On coil availability per reply from BobOso. I checked with Fort Bedford, they only got two and they filled preorders with them. So Got on the list. Made a trip to Florida over Thanksgiving and went to a detector store in Tampa. Got the same speel. They are few and far between just like a year ago with the Manticore. You’re just lucky if u jump on the list early and near the top, I suspect the WM-09 is going to follow suit.
