Yes I know the depth is on his soil, so my point on that, if it can't pass in his extremely mild soil how on earth could it pass it Alabama red dirt? But I also test detectors, and have owned most of them and he pretty much tests they way I do. Set up some situations in his soil and other test like elevated nails etc. I've been doing that for a couple decades but I don't use video. Don't get me wrong, I used the Fisher F75 for many years and loved it. I've used all of the tesoros , whites, FT , Tarsacci, XP deus for about 8 years, some of minelabs - ctx 3030, etrac, safari, equinox 600/800 , vanquish 540/440, Xterra 705, and out of all of these the XP deus does the best. The main reason I had an equinox is because of simultaneous multi-frequency and waterproof and I live on the Gulf Coast . Well I lived in Ohio when I bought it but took it to beaches and lakes and rivers. I don't like it's build quality. Too many issues. The deus is as deep of deeper than most anything I've used plus I can take it in a carpet of nails and feel good . As much as I loved the Fisher F75 LTD side by side tests with deus it just could not compete. But also understand, part of my fun in this hobby is testing detectors.. and watching others test them. To me it's fun. I'm retired from Dept of Corrections so listening to Calabash and his no nonsense straight forward approach is perfect .lol that's how I am. If you claim something does this or that then show me. That's all. If you can see a person's passion in what they love then you will not see that same person as a jerk. Sometimes passion comes across as a person being a jerk but that is actually not even close to the case. Oh and back to that soil, his soil is like air testing lol. The detectors he says are not good enough may work fine for most people that only hunt parks and school yards. But when you have 1 chance to find the goods you need to be sure you have the best tool for that job. He sees all of this advertising Garrett does and makes them look like the best detectors on the planet along with a few forum members lol. Well Garrett's flagship today came out in the 90's. These are things we all point out just to poke fun i guess. These new detectors coming out makes me exited. The new deus 2 is on order and I can't wait to get my hands on it .
