Went to Mechanicsville today with a buddy for some relic hunting. We got permission to hunt a construction site but that didn't pan out. We walked down a gravel road close by and jumped in the woods. My take for the day...7 bullets, finial, percussion cap, a piece from an epaulette, 12 cents in clad, and the usual junk. One bullet was hiding under a bottle with the cap still attached. Good target separation on that one! Thanks for looking.

Nice recoveries! What is the piece next to the nail looks like it has 2 holes and a twist tab?

Thanks...that piece is called a scale button to an epaulette.
