I was off today from work, so my buddy & I headed out to several places looking for some older relics. One, was another dump. He used his GTI 1500 & I used my GTI 2500. We found some interesting items from the past.......

The GTI 2500 got the only silver coin today.....

The GTI 1500 got this older kids toy, about 6 inches deep. I eyeballed the old pill bottle at the old dump site.

The GTI 1500 also scored big time on this nice old pocket watch. It's amazing what can show up at old dump sites. The GTI's also have the ability to size targets, so you don't get too overwhelmed with junk targets in such places.

Those are REALLY cool finds... quite a variety
and a lot of interesting stories are possible
for each of em!!! WTG!!

Good hunt and interesting items.:clapping:

I don't think Dorothy is in Kansas anymore!..........dang it wrong color...arrrrgggghhhh:devil:
Oh well, good loot there bud..:)

I rely on the sound as much as the sizing of targets, because a lot of times I will get a size B target in coins and it will be a pull tab or something else about the size of a coin. Realizing that I am way down the scale in experience compared to someone like John and some of the other veterans of this hobby. I threw away quite a few belt buckles that always sized as a D target and thought they were cans but dug them up anyway. Didn't know some of them might have been valuable. Trials and tribulations of a greenhorn, I guess.

The sizing features does have it's limitations. Once you put in the time and realize just what it can and cannot do, it is a real time saver. You have to be dean center over the target for the best accuracy.

:usaflag:FYI....Bottle-neck slide guitarists will pay a small fortune for that pill bottle. If you are'nt really attached to it, it would do you good to research it, and possibly auction it off on EBay. Seriously...I've been playing guitar for 25 years.

Hay McDave, your right bud, that would slide down the neck of my ol Tele very nicely!!!:super:

:usaflag:You play a Tele too? Good man. I've had my Tele for about 16 years...It's just a Jap model..it's all I could afford at the time..called a Foto-Flame Telecaster. It's got a neck like a baseball bat...I love it.

Sorry guys...back to metal detecting..lol.
