:detecting: ATpro envy? How to be successful with your 150, 250 and 350 :beers:

I also start out with the ACE 250 in the jewelry mode. When I get tired I go to the coin mode...and then finally I cherry pick. I'm not a big relic hunter unless I'm in an older state. All my jewelry has been 3" or less so I don't need an Etrac, V3, or AT PRO to dig a piece of jewelry at 3"...the ACE 250 does just fine. I figure between 300 to 400 pulltabs for a ring (any ring).

Keep your coil ON the ground. Go slower, this ain't golf. You find less goodies if you're not putting a coil over the target so get out there. Gotta love the ACE 250!

I have an Ace 250 and I air tested the 6 womens and 3 mens gold rings I have found so far. (they were all found at the beach, so I don't bother to look at the meter, if it beeps and isn't iron, I just scoop.). All 6 of the womens rings read right on nickel, and all 3 of the mens gold rings read on the dot just before zinc penny. This is for 250 users, because the 350 has a different scale. There are a lot more than 9 gold rings in this world, so I ask all you 250 owners to wave your or others gold ring in front of the coil, and let me know if you find what I'm getting to be the same for you.
