Depth Question.

I am thinking what purple mentioned. Anyone who thinks they are going to watch you the whole time has never watched a live M/D hunt. The few people that have come with me passed out from boredom after 20 minutes.

M/D is definitely not a spectator sport.

I'm thinking bring an extra metal detector that's easy to learn and doesn't interfere with your unit. Show them how to use it and have a blast together. A 350 dollar unit can be bought and resold after or I think you may be able to rent one.
I would think after a week of M/D bonding you would be welcomed back any time.

As for items you would like to keep offer a fair market price. If I was the owner and didn't have big plans for the items like a display case or museum I would say no but you can have them for half price.

Good luck. Have fun, and remember it's not all about what you keep guys and gals it's more about what you find:twodetecting:.

A CTX, Etrac, Explorer, Sovereign. No baby walking really necessary to at least locate possible areas to slow down a bit in.

...along with the large search coil if terrain allows it. It goes deep and super fast recovery!

Given the situation I'd go with either the White's V3i or the F75/T2. If I ever had plans to use the detector other than relic hunting I'd go with the V3i. The E-Trac would be a great choice in not for the fact the field has been freshly plowed.

F75 is an excellent choice, that's the one I would use.
