Deepest Tesoro?

Great question, but as it relates to depth, it's all relative to how you will be using it. For every day use and in a variety of applications, parks, play grounds, yards, etc. the Vaquero, Silver and as Monte mentions even some of the older models would be a great purchase. You need to remember that 90 to maybe 95% of your typical finds, coins and jewelry, etc. in the fore mentioned locations, are within 6 inches of the surface. I recently found a coin dated 1786, it was only 5 inches down. In all the videos I've watched, I've never seen a Barber Quarter, for example, found deeper then maybe 6 - 7 inches? The advantage of the Vaquero over a few of the others, is it allows ground balancing and has a pretty good All Metal mode which gives you a bit extra depth. I think, and I'll probably get flack for saying this, after using some of the high end detectors, I found they are more designed to hunt new buyers, then treasure. Stay with Tesoro and you'll be happy and successful.

Those fancy displays are a great bait, glad I didn't go that way

I like what I am reading about the Tejon, I have a used on the way. I expect once it gets here I will be posting some questions. For now I will keep reading and picking up what information I can.

Thanks all,

Hi Ron, hope all is well down your way. I think that you will really like the Tejon, they are a great detector. I would be interested in seeing how it compares to your 1270 and the 1266 that you have/had. Steve.

Hello Steve,

Bet you are froze in up there.

Actually the Tejon is a replacement for my 1266x that I sold a couple of weeks ago. Got high hopes for the Tejon.

Good to hear from you,

Hey, you WV guys. Where are you? I'm in Parkersburg. I'm just starting this addiction, and I have 2 1/2 years to learn it before I retire.

Woodennickel,

Me and my 2 brothers are all around the Huntington area, 2 of us are retired and the baby Mark (MarkCZ on the forum) has a few more years to work. All of us are doing some detecting when we get the time.

I thought I might find you snooping around over here. As for as I know this will be the first Tesoro in the family.
I talked to Dan_Pa on the phone a few weeks back and he said the Tesoro's really LOVE gold!

Mark

Tejon and me should get along go because I also love gold
Though I would come over here and start my Tesoro education, lot of good stuff over here.
