I absolutley love using the Deep Silver program with my DFX, however I dont seem to be getting the depth with the Deep Silver program on my V3. I did notice that the filters are set low (5, I think) I will bump it up to 10 and see if that helps. It seems to be a little noisy, but that could be the single 2.5 frequency. I am also going to change that to Best Data.
let me know what you find .....I have found that I have a tendency to hunt a little to fast and always have to rein myself in with better coil control....not fast and not to slow kinda hard to describe....
I am still playing with the ground filters also but I got some of the best dirt in the country on the coast.
This box is different in that you do have to think of it as several different detectors in one. I've been having to really pay attention to changing my old habits too. (Especially when jumping between programs because of such fundamental changes in filtering.)
I'm very interested in the Deep Silver program and I hope lots of folks write in with their experiences. I'm still looking for my first silver coin with the V3, but I've mostly been spending hours and hours just getting used to this great machine and all it can do in Hi Pro.
I've been using the deep silver mode in an area that I've hunted hard with the MXT and had some previous success. I'm pulling silver coins and wheaties from depths that I could only get a whisper with the MXT. I've really done very little tinkering with the program though. The only thing I had to do was slow way down.
I just tried deep silver too..I get a constant trob...and it really moves all over the spectagraph, how slow is slow?Cut down RX gain to 7 not much of a difference, I found its hard sweeping and getting a lock on target with second sweep. Anyone else experiencing this? Thank You Jamie
Yep Thats what it sounds like! For a woman its kinda hard understanding the gain,,,offset, etc...BUT vision owners, I set my sensativity to 3...the probe said 15...thats a big fluctuation, and it seems to be working.
