Deciding on and comparing new machines. Can get a little comic.

Some things to watch for. Whenever a Hot number comes out, out comes all the nail board tests (Comparison's). Yep, pretty near any detector ever build has gone through one of these tests. Detectors costing from $250 and upwards to the thousands, never seen a video where one failed. How's that? Unless your there it's like the old shell game (finding the pea). So there are machines that are too heavy, too frail, good for fresh water only, runs great on hot soil, black sand and under power wires. Ever notice a machine comes out, no body likes the stock coil. Too large, too small, Double D or some other magic concoction. How about saying the coil is waterproof. But you got to wrap the brains in shrink wrap, and then rig a antenna from the coil to somewhere around your head. Computer updates, better have your smart phone with you unless a update comes in. How about this? Dozens of formulas combating trash, than go hunt in All Metal. Yep there's a lot to compare to when you go shopping. And yes I'm guilty of falling for some of this stuff too.

How about this one? 5,000 settings to choose from and we almost always use the same setting anyway. All metal detectors do the same thing..Just different ways of coming to the same conclusion.

Buy what works for you, your style of hunting and area. They will not work the same for everyone in every area all the time. A $500 detector will find metal in the ground as easily as a $5000 detector under normal conditions.
Have to have the coil over it and it won’t find whats not there.
For some what was a hobby now is finds will determine their survival in life.
Some have to have the latest and greatest and hunt in style lol
I think its more bragging rights than actually finding alot more stuff.
I don’t know how old you are but remember the days before the internet and cell phones, we also had metal detectors back then. Somehow people didn’t complain as much back then about the things they used like, man it really sucks to have to pick up the phone and dial all those numbers. People want instant gratification and it’s always never enough.
Like to see some of these people go to a fishing pier with a $2000 rig and say my pole is going to catch more fish than your cheap pole. Its essentially what they are doing on here except they wouldn’t have the stones to tell them in person.
