Day one back on the Etrac

I have to add my 2 cents here..
I owned the etrac and honestly, I was never completely happy with it. The first one I had was bad and Minelab gave me another, it seemed to me to be really unbalanced and uncomfortable and I found myself switching arms every 10 minutes or so.
On the other hand I have switched to the CTX and, for me, is really light and balanced. Seems to be and etrac on steroids.
I personally love my new machine over the other, but again thats my opinion.
I dont want anyone to think I am putting down the trac because Im not, it is a smoking machine, but its kinda like buying a car...some like Chevy/ Ford/ whatever..

Well my opinion is that those who bought the ctx dont want to degrade a detector that they purchased.I on the other hand dont have a problem with it,i still own both and i have found wheat pennies at 12" with ctx but my etrac is the best. The ctx is a killer on the forearm but i love the wireless headphones not very user friendly machine though actually a little confusing, dont like the fact that when you change over to a program that you have to load it then go back and reload it to alter tones or anything else.I had found a mercury dime at around 11 inches with etrac and it is heavier but i bought docs swingy thing and can change 3 different coils for the price of 1 ctx coil. The ctx worth 2 etracs?I dont think so just my opinion but not even close in value

exactly, I'm not saying the CTX is a bad machine it's just that the E-Trac is for me.

I could not believe it when I hit that capped bust! A first for me. I kept saying holy s***. LOL. Especially how small it is! And it was about 6 inches or so. E-trac was having a tough time IDin'g it but that's understandable...perhaps it was on edge? not sure.

I heard a solid repeatable signal deep, I dig.

Call me crazy and many have LOL, but I went from the CTX back to the Etrac.

And I'm lovin it!

Went to a few older spots near me and was lucky to get a few keeper on the day.

dug the LC in the first 10 minutes of hunting and the capped bust dime toward the end.

The dime was an iffy signal and was bouncy. Showed around 7-8 inches. was only about 5 or so. Came up 01-31, 12-35. etc.

Those are two awesome looking finds especially for the e-trac and a wise move for changing back. Congrats
