Day 1 at the Fairgrounds! Silver galore!

SilverBear

New member
So lately I have not been able to go metal detecting that often with my new E-Trac. This past weekend I finally was free and so my friend and I went to our local fairgrounds and found lots of silvers and wheats. The E-Trac in this case beat out the Garrett AT Pro with silver! I found a total of 7 silvers and my friend found 3. He did find gold but we split it =P A great weekend and I can't wait till my next trip!

I will post the second video once it is up on YouTube!

Had some trouble viewing..it froze

But I see the excitement and know of the Good Finds to come

Congrats:thumbup:

I will try again and cannot wait to see all the SILVERRR

Here is all the silvers from the first day and a close up picture of the Mercury Dime. I know that cleaning the coins are bad and so before you say anything, I only cleaned these since these are really my first. I don't plan on cleaning anymore silver coins that I find.

I do not see anything wrong in gently cleaning Silver Coins with soap and water

Especially if they are not Key Dates!

You did not Tumble them ..Right?!

Ether way Congrats on your Silver:thumbup:

Sweetness good going !!!!

No I just used some silver cleaner and I heard using an eraser can help get some grime off. Don't really know if that is the best idea though.

I have been into coins and bank roll hunting and metal detecting for a long time now and it wasn't until this last Christmas I finally bought myself my own metal detector. Now I just came seem to stop! It is amazing to find all of these things. I will be going to the beaches in two weekends and hopefully will be able to find some more cool stuff. It can be hard sometimes to balance College and hobbies as a freshmen. I always can cheer myself up or relieve some stress though by whipping out the metal detecting and taking it for a spin. :detecting:

Nice location and nice silvers. Congrats you two. Fun huntin' with friend(s) ;-)

Oh, and that gold ring will REALLY pay for a new E-Trac! They don't get any bigger than that!

I Know How You Feel and After Grad School And Many Years Employed As A Professional, I wake up in the morning and wonder if I can get away for a few hours to Detect!
