D2 Wire When Coil Submerged?

Do we have to attach that diving wire whenever we want to submerge the coil on the new D2? Like when I'm beach hunting and want to put the coil under the surf? Thanks!

No not rain or even puddles a few inches deep - for that you don’t need the wire.

One guy did a mod and ran his cord inside the stem of the XP2. Very clean looking mod.

There was a video of a person a while back that made his own wire, and put it inside the rod of the Deus 1, it looked really good, and not much wire was exposed.
