Anyone care to guess how often updates will come along? I'm sure they will not be as often as the product ages. Just wondered if anyone had an educated guess.

Definitely still in the beta version. There could be a few more before they settle down and roll out the official V1. After that there will be occasional updates similar to the frequency of D1 updates I would guess.
