CZ3D question

I have used the MXT with DD coils in that type of contaminated ground and it does do OK compared to a lot of other detectors. A little noisy perhaps but at least it is not high falsing all the time and the response from good targets comes thru the noise good enough to have you digging.

Jim, I find the MXT to be very noisy around wet salt sand, so much so that I generally end up using the CZ20. Someone told me that a detector sees salt just the opposite that it does mineralization so I guess it might do OK up there. I've never study the theory as to why detectors work the way they do in different types of soil. So could any detector work adequately say at a wet black sand ocean beach? Just rattling. I appreciate the help.
