CZ-3D, is it rain resistant ?

Not, considering a rain hood, how rain resistant is the CZ-3D. The instruction manual doesn't say a word about it. Spring is here, and the ground is thawing.(Mass.)

are water resistant or splash resistant. I still wouldn't take them out in a rain storm though.

The CZ 70 is identical to the CZ 7A Pro save for the additional tone and the cosmetic change of "Square Tab" to relic.
I've used my Pro in light rain and have been swamped and knocked down by a rogue wave without any damage.

It's "Splash Proof". The built in speaker and the face plate around the housing will leak like your kitchen sink. Who knows the reason they abandoned the great control housing such as used on the CZ6A and the CZ7. Some have said those hunting in areas where rattle snakes are didnt want to wear ear phones so they could heard the rattlers. If Im up to my ears in snakes Im snake hunting not treasure hunting so that's not a logic answer. If I used a detector with a loud speaker blasting within the Dallas area alerting all around me that I just hit a target Im afraid I would be stabbed shot kicked killed raped chocked bitten beaten and and someone else would be using my CZ3D the following day or it would be in a pawn shop. I want my detector to be WATER PROOF with my GRAY GHOST ear phones attached and a herd of hunters around me. Hope I answered your question LOL.

I don't see how the the CZ 3D or the CZ 5 can be considered "Splash Proof" with a speaker that leaks.
The CZ 7A Pro and the 70 use Teflon speakers and must have a phone jack or the attached plug inserted to meet the weather resistant criteria.
