CTX3030 screen hard to see

Somehow I don't notice these glare problems. I have a za.g.g. cover on mine and I detect fields for the most part, so there is plenty of sun out there.
Out of curiosity what are your backlight and brightness settings?
 
Ive never had a problem reading the screen unless the sun angle was exactly wrong. when that happens, just twist the control head angle.

Yeah, same here. And I say that with lots of beach hours under my belt.
If that's the major issue with a detector, you know its a Good one.
