CTX Speaker Volume Problem

Its on the truck... Signature required. OH I CAN'T WAIT... But we are going to the carnival tonight so I will have to...... Maybe I can run the lower rod down the inside of my my pants and detect while I am there.

Thank you Brian at Minelab. I talked to him today and it seems they ARE having a vendor issue. He didn't say when they expected more CTX's in but he turned over some rocks and found me a replacement to ship!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhh.

Don't worry guys, I'll find something else to complain about next week. Maybe the heat. :clapping:

Thank goodness...Go forth and find much silver and gold

Thank you. I hope so. My hunting buds are heading to a small beach in the morning without me. Next week I'll be ready.

Cool... I was out today and found a nice crotal bell, token and a small piece of jewelry. But it was tough going with the heat..... Where about are you located?

When I picked my new CTX up last month, the dealer and I set it up there in his shop. As we turned it on there was almost no audio from the external speaker. We tried umpteen different ways to get it louder to no avail. Dealer gave me another one and shipped that one back. There just might be a factory issue with the external speaker.

That sounds like what I had and Brian at minelab sent me a replacement detector.

I've only heard of a handfull having the problem. So, I hope it isn't wide spread or develops after some water use.

I'm near Dallas. It's either hunt early in the morning or during the rain (if it ever rains again here). Actually, I don't mind water hunting in the heat. It's easy to cool off with a dip. But, I need to work on my scooping technique. I scoop out big holes and my detector keeps saying, "target remains".

I too need scooping class 3rd season in the water here in TN and still cannot scoop if my life depended on it lol!

Oh, you guys didn't see the scooping classroom forum? That's where I learned all of my techniques...

It seems to like an art. The pro's make it look so simple. Practice makes perfect...the more you dig the better you will get at it. I'm ordering a new water scoop, I have the excavator of water scoops. I need a lighter, less heavy duty scoop now. The right tool for the job...

I must have missed it. I could use a class though. I hope it would cover target location lock, scoop placement, balancing will scooping, maintaining orientation for subsequent scoops, etc. I even thought about tying my old waterproof Vibraprobe to the end of a pole and probing for the target before I scoop. But, I need one more arm to make that work right.

My new CTX just did the same thing after having it submerged in water. Earphones and wireless is fine but the speaker seems to be shot. Dd you ever solve the problem with yours?
