CTX 3030 is bad to the bone!

I bought the Minelab CTX3030 last summer. I went out for the first time with the 6" coil on it and to say the least I am blown away on how simple it was to separate targets. I knew the capability was there but with the larger stock coil and the amount of trash in the area I search I just couldn't get it right. If you were in doubt the 3030 is worth the money, I can attest it definitely is worth every penny!

Congratulations on the rings. :clapping:

3 rings and a little clad...

I found the first ring probably 10 minutes in my hunt. 30 minutes later further down I found a second one, covered the hole, re-scanned and found the third one in the same hole. Taught me a valuable lesson to re-scan the hole!

I have to agree, it is an awesome machine..
I have the 6" coil but haven't used it yet..
Looking forward to trying it out soon..

Be prepared to spend a lot of time in a very small area, but what you find will blow you away. Let us know how you do when you use it.

Thanks guys..
I've heard nothing but good things about the 6" coil..
I have just the spot to test it out..
I'm very inspired now to try it..

Also I am very impressed with the stock coil and the CTX..
As far as I'm concerned it was worth every penny..

That's awesome.

I am planning buying a ctx some time early next year , i use an se pro at the moment , i know i will have to lie to other family members about how much the ctx will cost. I am in the uk
and it costs 2k. I think this is about 3.1 k or therabouts in us dollars. I know i am insane for even contemplating paying 2k for a metal detector but the reviews and feedback is very good on the ctx.
I tried a ctx out at dealers , he showed me how it can pick coins out when "in a null" how it does this is just amazing, From what i see it's a fantastic machine for sure... But 2k though err , totally nuts
paying this amount of money..

I have to agree with you it is a lot to put out for a machine, but also look at other Minelabs that go upwards of $5000. To me it made sense to have the best as I like everything about it. Waterproof. Cordless headset. Target Separation. Comfort. The list could go on and on and it will be amazing to see what Minelab can come out with next to surpass this impressive machine.

I have heard from a dealer nothing will replace the ctx for until another 4 or 5 years has ticked by. I would say it sounds about right. 3 Years possibly but who knows!
