Cross one burglar off the list....

Uncle Willy

New member
Some guy broke into a home to burglarize it and was confronted by the lady of the house who was armed. She smoked the dude right where he stood. Seems this neighborhood has been plagued with home burglaries and the homeowners have all armed themselves. Bet home break ins drop to zero in that neighborhood now. HAA. Bury a few more of these apes and the rest will get the message quick. Here in Portland if someone enters your home illegally they are fair game to push up daises.

Every state should give it's citizens the right to defend their homes in this manner. Unfortunately, sometimes the burglar has more rights than the homeowner. Can you imagine getting sued because the person hurt their back carrying your TV out the window? It happens.

Personally I could live with killing a burglar in my home. But I think it would be more fun to blow their kneecap off and let them suffer in jail.

This works for me too !!..... Just remember though , the thief robs you , and sues you because of an injury that they incurred on your property while robbing you , ( in some states ) , the law suit AGAINST YOU is worth more money in favor of the crook !!! ..... In the court system , and in a law suit , a person who is dead is worth less money than a person who is alive and injured ........ A bullet to the head will incur no further legal expenses, or medical payouts !!.... This is of course AFTER the knee caps go !!...... In case you haven't noticed , I don't like thieves !!......Jim

WOW. Here in Indiana you can carry a concealed weapon but if you have
to smoke someone you better put a club in the guys hand or a knife and be
prepared to show your life was in immediate danger!

Maybe I will move back to the Pacific Northwest. I spent 10 years in Seattle WA but
I don't think the gun laws there are as good.

This is right on track,(no witness to testify against you!), except for shooting the knee caps first and then finishing them off. You are only supposed to neutralize the threat. Once your life is no longer in danger you are supposed to stop shooting. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to have a little fun with them or teach them a lesson unless you want to spend all your money and time in court defending your actions. Don't mess around, shoot them dead.

They are here. I had a cop tell me one time if I had to shoot someone outside to be sure and drag him in the house before I called the cops. HAA.

that is not exacly true if u blocking the guys exit and u shoot him u r in trobble

In Montana we are not allowed to shoot to maim; we have to take the best shot we can which means head or chest when possible. Knowingly winging someone is not allowed.

We can shoot people in the back. As long as the person is a lethal threat, we can shoot; it doesn't matter which direction the person is facing.

But despite all of the laws that favor using lethal force to defend oneself, a good attorney can twist that around and criminalize the victim.

What is that saying? "Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6."

I think "The American Rifleman" magazine had a section where it they published newspaper articles about people defending their homes every month. I liked reading those!!!

Bill you tossed a topic out there of interest to a lot of people, myself included, and there have been some interesting responses, but in this crazy world today a person has to very cautious about publicly expressing oppinions that may one day come back to nip him where he sits!

As a life member of the NRA and shooting fraternity, I am commited to promoting the right of a citizen protecting his family, his property and himself, but I refuse to publicly comment on anything beyond that.

Public comments become public record,

If your state allows concealed carry then go through the course and get your license. If some home invader kicks in my door for a surprise robbery - they will be met with me and Mr. Ruger. Mr. Ruger is in my pocket 24/7. It's hard to part with it when I take a shower. Makes me feel more naked. That's an ugly site.
