Creek Bed Finds

Hunted a creek bed that runs through town for maybe a 150' stretch and found a few things wedged in cracks and in the banks. Found several bullets of various types and ages, a crusty Jesus/Mary pendant, several buckles, a GM car key, tailor weight, toy bulldozer, pendant with GAIL stamped into it, a single line printer's block, and the cool 'Cockrum and Rudd' fob from Goldthaite, Texas with the buggy on it. Never hunted a creek before. I liked the change-up. Oh, found a nice old marble, too.

If you didn't know the round lead thing with the lead divider in it is an old hem weight or a curtain weight. Nice old watch fob.

Never thought about hunting a creek Do you hunt it alot?Nice finds. The nearest creek to me here in N.C. is called Moccasin Creek. The name alone kinda keeps me away.Water Moccasins here are very poisoness.HH

That was my first attempt at creek hunting. You have to be willing to deal with snakes, mosquitos, debris jams, very little air, and bums.

Creek beds are fun...you never know what will turn up

if you do a ggogle search listing the 2 names on the token and the town name the first listing is a decription from token catalog #97341 with date of 1915. may not be the same as yours since its a fob but gives you somwhere to start. good finds.

Great post & great finds, I've got a seasonal river here in town that looks promising, as soon as the temp dips below 100+degrees, thanks for sharing. HH
