Copper axe head

Interesting posts
Thanks folks..

Hello Folks
New York State and Vassar college archaeologists have confirmed that it is a copper adz, one commented that it is a very fine example. From what I gather in their emails it dates from 1500 to 3000 BC so 3500 to 5000 years old. In order to narrow it down to it would have to be submitted for chemical analysis.
I appreciate everyone's help in identifying this object.
Happy Hunting
Gary

:clapping: Happy for you Gary, fantastic find.

Thanks Larry. The Vassar chemistry department is going to be testing it to find out exactly what I have.
