Considering an AT Pro, but.....

Let me get this straight, The AT Pro works only with the head phones it comes with? I would buy the AT Pro today if I could use my Killer Bees or Grey Ghosts.

Currently that is correct. There will be an adapter availiable. When is the Question and will the adapter be water tight? Which is part of the reason I got this machine in the first place.

The AT Pro works with the headphones it comes with or the waterproof headphones you can get for it. Otherwise you are correct, you cannot currently plug in your Killer Bs or Grey Ghosts. I have heard Garrett is going to come out with an adapter that will enable you to use your own headphones and if you can't wait for that there have been some good posts on this forum about how you can make your own adapter, but you will need to get from Garrett a plug that will fit the AT Pro that you can adapt. For what it is worth, I have another detector that I have been using a pair of Killer Bs with. I really like a single ear headphone---I like to listen to my surrounds with my uncovered ear, and I am looking forward to the adapter---I do not want to make my own---so I can use those headphones with my new AT Pro. But there is enough about this detector that I like that I am willing to use the headphones that comes with it. And, again, for what it is worth, the headphones that come with it are excellent headphones.

If you get the AT Pro I am sure you will be delighted with it. Good luck!

I had my dealer rig me up a set of Grey Ghosts for the AT Pro at the same time I ordered it!! Sweeeeet!!!! Most of you wouldn't spend $160 for a set of underwater 'phones, but to me it was a no-brainer. Excellent sound, hardly any outside noise and real comfortable!!
