Confused about Hi Pro

I haven't used Hi Pro much, but see a lot of you are using it and like it. I've tried it in my test garden and it doesn't seem to do anything more than the Coin and Jewelry mode does. It doesn't seem to be as stable as the Coin and Jewelry mode is, either. What am I missing?

You might not be missing anything in your ground. It is just a personal preference of what you like. The Coin and Jewelry is also a very good program and many use that one too.

In a very well worked park, a very well worked park. I mean there was nothing in it after I was done and in all honesty there wasn't much there to begin with. I plugged in Hi Pro and pulled a standing quarter and a large cent I've also after hitting a house with coin/jewelery pulled another piece of foreign silver and an old WW2 ring. I don't think I would have pulled these without going to that program. If your looking for what the program actually does checking out the excel sheet at the top of this page might help.

That's what I was missing...

First I'd like to say hello to everyone. My name is Frank, but I go by Dirt Diggler.
From Harrisburg Pa.
Been lurking around the forums for quite awhile and am ready to take the plunge to the V3.
I know I have a lot to learn, but how does this excel spreadsheet come into play.
If anyone has some time to explain what it's telling me..please do so .
Thanks in advance

That is the sort of place I like to use my E-TRAC but I am trying really hard to learn the V3... so the ET is sitting in the truck a lot... I think that the V3 is actually going to be better once I learn it, and I WILL learn it.

I'm curious... what coil were you using. I have the stocak 10 and the 4x6 with a 5.3 on the way. I find the 4.6 to be more stable but I still try to use the 10" because I guess it's psychological... I like to use a bigger coil.

Thanks and good luck!

It just shows what the different settings are in the factory preset programs. There's a similar table in the manual. It's helpful to see why some things are set the way they are when you can compare them to other programs.
