Yep, I've pretty much decided I'm going to buy both
the small coil and the large one. The small one would
be good here at the house for what I've been digging up.
But I also want the large one for deeper scanning across
fairly clean places. More of a relic and deep coin killer..
Actually, I'd like trying to build some homebrew coils,
but I'm not sure what config they are using, etc. Also, I
imagine the coils need to be tuned, and I don't think my
grid dip meter goes that low..:/ So...I guess I'll just
buy the ace coils..But...Still, I have visions of making a
big monster coil for field and relic, meteorites, etc..
Normally, making coils is a piece of cake. But each detector
type is gonna want a different spec coil I imagine.
I'm into electronics, etc..Am a ham radio op..Thats
what the "NM5K" is...It's my radio callsign. So detectors
interest me from a electrical standpoint about as much as
finding stuff.
