I found this bullet this evening in the patch of woods I have been detecting.
If is the first complete one I have found here.
Some others have part of the case still attached, but most are only the bullet.

Copper case was what I've read. Cool, that design is such a interesting step in cartridge development. JimmyCT is right, great find!

Not paper or cloth… I believe it was a brass cartridge…
Here is a photo on one..
