Will this unit make an audio sound without the search coil plugged in.Picked this unit up on an auction and went through the box ever thing seems to be in order but no coil with this unit.Any help appreciated and was XP prone to regular problems. Thanks
 
Hi Ron I have the coin scanner pro and the goldscanner pro neither will make a sound without the coil on that would be normal as you need a send/ receive signal. The analog forum would be the place to ask about Compass. I assume your referring to the XP-450 . Dan
