compadre ?

I said that a Compadre does not have an all metal MODE.

Turning it to the AM possition on the dial does not put the
Compadre into an an all metal mode.

It is simply, turning the discriminator all the way down.

The names on the dial mean little. They are an estimation,
at best.

As you can see, I don't pay any any attention to those names.

The Compadre has only one mode. Look at the specifications.
At the bottom, it tells you what that mode is.

Compadre has a " Silent Search Discriminate Mode " ONLY.

SPECIFICATIONS

Operating Frequency___________ 12 kHz
Searchcoil Type_______________ Round concentric, hardwired
Searchcoil Size ______________ 5.75"

Audio Output ________________ 1

It's just a discriminate knob.

They're on Tesoro'es.

You can write anything around it.

Those things are only an estimation at best.

On different machines it says different things.

Don't mean spit.

As I said. It doesn't have an all metal mode.

All you can do is turn the discriminate knob.

Not rocket science.

Couldn't be much simpler.

Don't understand the miss understanding.

A bread and butter detector at a reasonable price for the average consumer.

How about a Hot rodded Compadre??
The pictures below was a project by ??? several years ago.

Enjoy

Now that's a Compadre! I had thought about getting one and adding a "tab check" switch-something like the Disc1/Disc2 switch. But now the sens. knob and g/b knob, etc. That's amore!
