Compadre with 5 inch coil is my new go to unit for relics

the compadre is my current "do everything" machine

it made me a fan of Tesoros

Thanks Tony,LOL, you know I was only messing with you about keeping silent about the Compadre. It is so cool how the Compadre can be such a success with the seasoned diggers and still be such a neat "starter" for the newer diggers /& kids. Hey, it is simple/feather lite/plenty deep enough/and works exceptionally well in some places where others don't. There is truly enough difference in some of the "old tech"/mechanics/setups/whatever, of some of the older Tesoros that allow them to be exceptional in different ways, as I feel are most all Tesoros exceptional in one way or the other. The Compadre (and it's Elder bro. A-2)just happen to excell where some much more costly machines don't. Little Kid diggers, smoking Dad's 'Big Dog" detector finds with their "toy" detector finds, gets attention real fast, Most of all ,The Compadre keeps all it's swingers grounded in the basics of having fun detecting. Compadre Excells at that above all others. HH, Charlie

i have an amigo II, hardwired, but buds have compadre's. the ef180 is dynamite! they are mopping up. they also have state of the art high dollar units. what do they like to hunt with? COMPADRE! do they find silver coins? yep. gold? yep. from a 40 yr hunter-- if i had to give'm them all up except one, i would keep my Compadre. most of his others are over a grand. cheap simple fun produces , and a lifetime warranty. and in the hands of a pro, go figure. one great guy on another forum says in his little slogan about beware of a man with only one detector, for he surely knows how to use it. the pro can out hunt me and my best with his compadre. experience and discipline help, so does a Compadre!
