Brother you got that right. Every time I see that look on your face...I know you are going to rearrange my car looking for a napkin...paper..tissue...or any other thing you can use...lol.Dave-IL said:Thanks for the replies everybody. What Bryce didn't tell you is how I destroyed his car while I was rifling through it looking for toilet paper.
If the hill would have been 10 feet further...I would have had to use the spare set of britches.
Thanks Phil. Next time you'll have to come with us. May never get to spend the night again...but we can still do a daylong road trip.niterider_58 said:2 barbers one merc to wheat's and one injun, I call that a very amazing task at that beat up park...nice job ACE
Thanks Dan. Another 10 seconds of waddling...and it would have been a different outcome.....literally.OhioCoinHunter said:Very nice finds! You worked hard for them and earned them. Glad you had a good time. Thank God Dave made it to the restroom in the nick of time!!!
Thanks bro. Maybe sometime a few of us can meet up in St. Louis. It would be a blast.Elton said:Nice job Bryce & Dave..wish I were there
Thanks G-Money. I do too. Heck Dave and I never strayed past the exact same area about 20 of us pounded that day of the seminar. If I lived 1 1/2 hours closer...I'd be there there often. As it is...with gas prices and time constraints...I'm lucky to get there twice a year.G-Money said:WTG Bryce and Dave !!!! You guys did great from the old park..I wish we live closer to it and had the time to go over every inch of it ..Congrats on a great hunt !!!!
Thanks Jeff. I agree...it means 10x the fun getting to share it with a friend.Idaho PRB said:A road trip is always fun, sharing it with a friend is 10X better. You Guys did indeed work hard for your finds but you know what? You DIDN'T GET SKUNKED!. Glad you were able to get away and have a good time.
Thanks Eddie. If the hill would have been another 20 feet longer...the outcome would have been different.Eddie in Poulsbo said:Glad you were able to get out again Bryce. Cold and wet is still worth the trip in my book. Glad that Dave made it to the restroom in time. Nothing worse then everyone looking around at each other and wondering what's that awful smell. Hope you make it out again soon and again a good post and good read. HH.
Eddie
Thanks my friend. These parks are always tough...but a lot of fun. This one we hunted had the best odds of not getting mugged...so that's why we chose it.NebTrac said:Excellent story, Great Pictures and Awesome finds Bryce and Dave! Congratulations on a hunt well done my friends! Looking forward to more.

Thanks Derrell. a trip to that site sounds good. i wish you would post that bust half you found there.deeponedge said:Dave I know all about the dreaded "potty walk" and I know even more what its like to arrive at the destination then have it locked on you!!
Just ask Bryce and he will tell you of my escapades on our hunts...lol.
Good job on the finds guys...and Bryce lets hit our stagecoch site bud.
Thanks Brad. If I limited him...he would just make it up somewhere else. Good Lord...he has to eat something every two hours.Big Digger said:I am glad you and Dave had a good time hunting in St. Louis. Although you might need to limit Dave to just two trips to the buffet or else he needs to bring a porta potty with him.
Thanks Mark. Herky is a super sniper....quick on the draw.Markdb61 said:Nice finds you and dave made Bryce. Good story too and congrats to Herkules for swiping ai muffin...lol.
Thanks Dew. I have always had a Fisher CZ in my stable since 1992. They are old school, deep silver killers...and I still like to "play" with them every now and then. It's nice to be able to step back in time and dig a 10" deep silver dime. They do not handle iron anything like my Explorers do though...and that's a fact. Nothing does in my opinion...and that's why my Explorers are my #1 machine. In clean ground the cz's are a blast...but in ANY type ground...the Explorers RULE. I didn't do any comparing targets. Too wet...too cold...and too little time.dewcon4414 said:Killer finds. Always great to go on a road trip... especially one like that. I was reading you have been playing with a Fisher, did you test any of those goodies?
Dew
Thanks coilswinger. I agree.coilswinger said:nh bryce any hunt is a good hunt to find silver is icing on the cake
Thanks Doug. Believe it or not...for 7 hours of hunting at this absolutely hammered park...I was thrilled with the amount of finds.DougF said:Nice finds and write up, Bryce. That restroom is interesting - looks like Indiana limestone, unless it is fake stone veneer (don't think so). Thanks for including how much time you hunted. I'm currently limited to 3 hour hunts max by the family and job situation, and it's nice to know how much time was spent finding a group of finds. Congrats.
Gold Nuggets said:A great road trip Bryce and happy that you and Dave (and Herc)
found some keepers in a well hunted park and the motel. GL and
HH and thanks for sharing the adventure. Gold Nuggets
Thanks J. This place is just full of history...and thereis always a chance of popping something out if a person is stubborn enough.jcooking said:Persistence paid off, way to keep at it Bryce! Congrats on squeezing out a few keepers!
Thanks Teleman. Please keep all that snow in YOUR state. I hope you're able to hunt before long.teleman2525 said:enjoyed your story good hunt getting rain here in vt turning to snow they say 20 inches possible and my areas on the heavey side of this mess we still got to much snow to hunt now more coming snoopy wants to hunt i now know were every nail in my living room is lol
Thanks G.R. I hope you are able to hunt soon.Great Republic said:Great trip Bryce. Still to much snow here but it's going to be warmer the next couple of weeks so I expect to be out soon. HH.
Thanks Larry. What's weird is that we spent the whole time detecting less than 100 yards from we held the seminar at a few years ago. Lots of other spots I like there but for some reason we didn't stray from that spot.Larry (IL) said:A nice little get-a-way Bryce..........
Thanks Harold. Herky is lightning fast when he sees a squirrel...or a snack of any kind. Maybe next time you can come hunt with us.LabradorBob said:Great job there Bryce and Dave,
Sounds like you guys had a great time.
Congrats on the finds.
And as for the lost wheatie,I think Herk had the same look on his face
as when the muffin disappeared! LOL
Very nice story,very much enjoyed!

Thanks Dave. Very sage advice you added too.McDave said:Nice hunt !
And I will remind everyone that once you reach the age of 30, a roll of toilet paper in the car or detecting backpack is absolutely mandatory !! Put it in a plastic bag along side that extra pair of underwear..
Thanks Rich.Rich (Utah) said:Bryce,

Thanks Aaron. Always much more fun with a good buddy along.Aaron said:Thanks alot for that cool story Bryce, and congrats on all the great keepers!
I hope I can get my huntin partner to go on a road trip like that soon...
Thanks Bobby. I'm glad the settings are working for you. Keep up the good finds and posts.Bobby Moyers said:Nice hunt Bryce! Sounds like you've given that old park a real going over! Dave is getting in some great hunts with you, and learning the way it's all done!
Counting my coins posted from earlier this year, I've dug about 35 silvers with the SE! --What a great machine! -- I'm hunting with your deep coins settings in the same old park and still pulling silvers from deep--deep--deep.
I received a Pro coil today and really looking forward to trying it out next week. Thanks for your Posts and all your help!----------Regards!
Thanks Kennon. It's a lot of work and you have to be willing to go 2 hours without a signal if need be...but there are still finds to be made if you are lucky enough to get the coil over something.silverfix said:Dave loks like you and Bryce found some good coins. I have always wanted to hunt at one of those St. Louis parks but never got the chance. Im sure they have been hunted a zillion times but there is always the chance as you two found out.
Bryce nice post an pictures. Later-Kennon.
