Coinshooting / high trash deep coil

The DFX has an air/ground balance which this one does not since the original goal was turn on and go,.. .

I'm getting off topic here, but I feel that ground balancing the DFX is far faster (turn on and go) than the Vision (V3). I'm always wondering if I let go of the enter button too soon or if I've pumped it enough times. With the DFX once the screen came up I knew I was ready.

That's kinda strange that you get a lot of flat lines. I'm no expert but I notice on mine if I click the pinpoint switch again then flip it to analize and sweep it gives me the bell curve.

you may not be using it correctly. When you have a target in search mode then triger the( analize ) mode, then swing your coil ONCE , over the target. you should see a nice bell curve.

I have got the flat lining at times - Seem to minimize it by slowing down when switching to the analyze. When I hit a target in normal search mode, I'll then pinpoint to get better target location, and minimize any nearby targets. Then I'll usually hit it a sweep or two in the search mode again. Then I'll switch to the analyze when the coil is off to the side of the target and wait a second or two to establish threshold. Then I'll pass the coil over and past the target, stop, then back over and past the target and again stop. Look at the analyze pattern, then may do another sweep or two (usually do) and recheck the pattern when I have the coil stopped off the side of the target. When doing this, I don't get as many flat lining.
Establish threshold, hop the coil a pass or two and stop coil movement after off the target to one side. The right sweep helps and also for target sizing.
Having the coil stopped off to the side also helps be gather the information looking at the display. My eyeballs are getting bad enough and having everything held still helps my eyeballs gather the information for further processing.
I still do get a flat line once in awhile, so I'll reestablish my threshold and adjust my sweep speed to try and establish a pattern.

Thanks AK, I knew the V phase meant something, just didn't know how the numbers correlated to the DFX 0 to -95 DC Phase.

Considering that the DFX worked best after two GB back to back for best operation, the V is much faster IMO. Also from what I understand, the V is, in part at least, part of the Fast Track system which has much better tracking than the DFX. I was told it is more like the MXT Fast Track, yet different due to the three frequencies. AK, please correct me if I'm off base here.
