Went on a marathon 8-1/2 hour hunt on saturday, hit a couple of beach & picnic areas .. and eventually ended up at our local 100 year old park. Each beach/picnic spot gave up a silver ring ... one is stamped Sterling silver - 12K ...black hills gold w/a small diamond. The other ring stamped .925 .. Pulled the mercury & two wheats out of a very stubborn park ... I dug my arse off for that dime. 107 clad coins totalling $6.79.
Today I went out to my buddies place, where earlier this year his wife turned a 1915 barber quarter over in the dirt while tilling for a garden. Did'nt find a single old coin .. just a bit of clad. Found some cool relics though. And some kind of weird medal or coin ? ? Anybody ever seen one ?

at least you got some goodies and enough clad to recharge your batteries. If that big stone were real I think ol' Dave would be the happiest camper on this forum. You'll have no problem hitting 50 silvers before the snow piles up.
Congrats on your #43 silver coin and that good luck token is pretty cool. GL & HH on your next outing.
