The coin I dug with the Nox a couple days ago turned out to be a Spanish Maravedis 1516 to 1556 ...

Great job Calabash! That must have been a strange signal? That is one nice coin, and the oldest I have seen in a while. Could be lost only 36 years after Columbus landed!
 
So you have me beat by 2 centuries for oldest coin lol... when I zoomed in on the pic last night I had a hunch it might be from the 1600s just based on the size of the letters...awesome find...
