The 10x12 looks great very little wear just on the coil cover cover. The Ultimate and Intruder are new!

I ordered and received my 10X12" Soverign coil from Kellyco in a timely manner....after all, Rome wasn't built in a day. I have found Kellyco to be a very reputable company to deal with for the past 37 years. One thing to remember is that if it isn't available you can't get it. If you can't get it at one place then try another and don't hammer the first one who has demonstrated over the years that it will do what is necessary and will go out of their way to accomodate the detectorist. JMHO!

Wait, who hammered who? A bit confused.

My long and winding 10x12 acquisition story:
Initially I could have bought a new 10x12 from overseas in Bulgaria through ebay UK, because Kellyco was not carrying them anymore. I think that was the beginning of October(?) Well I never followed up on that and in the meantime Kellyco set up their special order/shipment plan for more of the 10x12. So recently when I asked the ebay seller from Bulgaria if he would still sell one to me, he stated he was shipping an order to Kellyco, so the answer was "no." Around the same time I found a seller in Germany with a used 10x12 and 10" Tornado(he listed that he would not ship to USA though as is many times the case now due to ebays "Buyer Protection" fiasco/scheme). We wrote back and forth for several days and just when I thought we had a deal they changed their mind. Eventually another one showed up on ebay(USA) the guy decided to sell it to me for a fixed price. Meanwhile I found another seller on ebay UK with a 10x12 who was willing to ship to the USA...since I had already paid the USA seller I thought I'd be nice and post a link here on Findmall for anyone who wanted to buy it. The USA seller shipped it to me with a tracking #, which I followed on the USPS website for a few days. The last notice I saw was that the item had arrived at the P.O. in my town at an early hour ...so I expected it at my doorstep in the next few hours...NOPE, later I looked at the website again under the aforementined tracking #, it said "Recalled by Customer." The seller said he had no clue what was going on...by the time I got to the P.O. to figure out what was going on, they had already sent it on it's way back to the seller. When he finally got it, it turned out that he had underweighed it and they returned it after reaching a distance of about 2 miles from my address! At this point I am wishing I had just bought the one from the UK seller that I had posted the link to here, but when I checked it again it had already sold! I was starting to think as far as my owning this coil was concerned, I was cursed. Fast-forward to today: From a PM and other posts here on Findmall, I was starting to suspect that Kellyco has gotten their shipment in( I almost just ordered a new one ). And on this very day my coil arrived, this time by UPS and weighed correctly. Shoooo-eeee! Yes I wished I would've just ordered from Kellyco: I would've likely gotten it today and it would've only been $12.50 more...

Sovereign Elite, heck of a saga story to track down a 12x10! But IMO it's worth every ounce of effort to get one. I'm hoping you like this coil as much as I do, but I'm only just now catching up on posts to see who is liking the 12x10. Got several Emails from guys who got one in from Kellyco. Without naming names one guy said he used it in his yard and dug a silver dime he had missed over the years. No way of course to know if prior machines/coils would have missed that dime but he seemed happy by the sound of how hard he hit his yard prior times.

Another guy just told me he's very happy with the coil thus far but off hand I don't remember what else he had to say about it. Hoping as I catch up on threads here I see some field/opinion reports from people to their other coils. I love reading that kind of stuff.

I think this coil is the best coil I've ever used on a detector, in both depth, left/right separation, and stability. The somewhat improved coverage without being too big is also nice. It's unique shape sure makes it feel like this coil can work even heavy trash like a much smaller coil, combined with the super sharp DD line. Here's a tip- Wiggle the last few inches or so of the tip at a grouping of targets and it gets even sharper at slicing and dicing stuff. Amazing coil.

I'm envious of you being so coil rich! I'm adding a 13" Ultimate and a 8" Tornado to my line up of coils when I get the chance here. The Ultimate when I want something "different" when working deep coins like I do with the 12x10, or of course to cover large areas even a bit faster than I can with the 12x10 in that respect. Not sure if either coil is deeper than the other yet but at least in air tests the 12x10 got a half inch more depth.

I've heard nothing but praise for the depth and separation of the 8" (7.25") Tornado. Some guys use that as their everyday coil and I've read plenty of stories of them pulling silver at pounded out "dead" public sites with it due to both depth and/or masking in heavy trash. Outstanding depth and yet a very small coil to max out length wise separation. Once I have these two coils in my line up I think I'll be good to go. Only thing I might be tempted to also grab is the 10x14 and the 4.5x7 coils, which I don't think they ever sold in the US. Have to also get my hands on a 14.25" WOT to see how it compares depth wise to the 12x10 and Ultimate.

Still testing out the loaner S-12 so not much to say on it yet. Have one initial testing video with it but needs to be edited before I post it. If I like this coil it'll replace my 10" Tornado as my water coil, because the 15x12 and 12x10 are too much drag in the water for me due to their shape. Not going to risk my Ultimate in the water to see how it does drag wise.
