Civil war hunts

I am a civil war buff and on some of the other forums years ago I was chosen to participate in several paid civil war relic hunts but due to family issues with my parents and even my own I never got to go on one. I always had to cancel. Is there anything like that go on here or does anyone have places to go? That is one goal that is on my bucket list to do before I leave this earthly body. To dig relics of history like that would be so awesome !

Where do you live? You may have some civil war activity really close to you.

If you're in Va., there's a paid hunt in King and Queen Co. This is a two day event @ $50 per day, just show up at 6 AM and pay, no registration, with a free meal at the end of each day. Feb. 27-28. Hope this helps.

I do not live in Va but i could take a vacation there. How do i find about these hunts and get any information on this one or anything in the future somewhere?

I find a lot of info on the relic hunting/metal detecting sites on FB. You can also google "metal detecting events". There's a paid hunt happening soon in SC.
