church mystery

New member
Was finishing up supposed 100yr old church when old pastor appeared and wished me luck.I told him it was strange that I wasn't getting any 1800 coins, he informed me that although it says inside the church that structure is over 100 yrs old that the original church is now a vacant lot across from the post office, I thanked him and will start hunting the original spot I did find a 1950 s wheatie. WayneI also found a metal box which I did not recover because all twisted in with tree roots. left it buried ,Did not want to kill tree.

I guess the metal box didn't have anything inside? Good luck at the origanal church site dabbie.Hope you can post pics of a handful of silver and other good stuff!

I'm sure the old box was nothing significant...holder of the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, maybe the Lindburgh Baby... (Sorry is the Lindburgh Baby too old a reference for this crowd?)

- Muddyshoes :)

as a matter of fact the metal box was 6inches by 10 inches but was so entangled by tree roots I would have killed tree trying to get it out and yes lid was intact.I guess this will remain a mystrey until tree is gone.I would proberly have a hole the size of a bar ice-box to remove it.Not to mention tearing up the lawn Wayne
