I sure as he!! wouldn't want to be hit by one no matter what you call it. I've had a couple of close calls, and I don't care how manly or tough you think you are, a close call will scare the crap out of you. And oh those damned cottonmouthes!!! Being out on the water and having one them come aboard without the Captain's permission, is not exactly a scene out of the "Pirates of Pinzance", more like "lawdy I just wet my pants".

Interesting note here: Check out the Department of Agriculture's records on stored grain lost to rodents before and after the beginning of various "Rattlesnake Roundups". In some cases, the rodent damage to stored grain has increased by 15,000 to 30,000 percent. Not a good trade-off in my book.
