Cheap way to ship

Hi to all here. I just used Pirate ship for the first time. I weighed it, took my measurements and bought the ship label. Elected to ship through UPS ground. What happens if there is a weight discrepancy along the line when they might weigh your package, maybe my scale is off a bit from an official UPS or USPS scale or measurements were not accurate. Does that come back to bite me, will I be assessed another charge through pirate or the UPS company from under weighing it.? Or I over weighed it, do you get a refund? Thanks, Steve

I honestly don't they will make an issue out of a few ounces. If the package was a few pounds off, then it might become an issue.

UPS charges by what a certain size box should weigh. USPS seldom catches mid-weighed packages. I had a guy on fee-pay ship me a a package at 2 oz instead of 2lbs.

If you do a fair amount of shipping buy one of those cheap scales on *bay. I had one for years and havent had a weight issue, Anything that is over the pound, always gets rounded up to the next pound. Or you can start cutting down the flaps on the box to shave off the extra ounces !!!!! The big savings with Pirateship is use a box in the 'CUBIC' price category. I found a 35 inch girth to be the maximum size. I can send up to 20 pounds in a 35" girth (L x W X H) to Florida for $15 !!! Check out the rates by putting in different weights and sizes. Even if bigger box, still waaay cheaper than USPS !!!
