Changing coil on cz20?

wade7777

New member
I have been using an 8" coil on my cz20 since I purchased it 12 years ago. I have an 10.5" coil I have never used. Is there a good DIY method of splicing cables or using a waterproof connector so I can change these coil? I would like to avoid sending the unit to Fisher for them to go in the box and change it. Thanks for any suggestions.

they will not change the coil for you!!!! they do not have the parts for the cz20 and if they do they do not trust the parts enough if they do to open up the unit and close it again without causing leaks!!!!!!!
there are waterproof connectors you can buy and install, sunray sells them. or you will have to directly cut and splice hardwire the new coil, you would need to solder each wire, use some silicon, liquid tape and shrink tubing.
